if you want to kick the few people who are involved for QR-Pedia do whatever you want. i am fed up. Tom. 80.187.114.213 03:19, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This functionality is built into Wikimedia sites as Special:QrCode - uploading these QR codes as files should no longer be necessary. Omphalographer (talk) 03:25, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
yeah ... you seem to be very wise. No longer support of developers needed.
do you know the works of Douglas Adams? choose from them and enjoy.

Delete. The ones that link to in-wiki sites are not necessary anymore because we have that functionality built into the site now. The rest are links we don't really need to store. We have plenty of good examples of QR codes for articles and such, these are redundant. Rubýñ (Scold) 04:01, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
 Keep ... “unused” is not true. --Mateus2019 (talk) 04:06, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Which one did I miss? Omphalographer (talk) 04:07, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Disadvantage: Deleting would break page history as some of the qr codes was used in wikipedia pages. After deleting the information is lost for users. --Laserlicht (talk) 07:19, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep - Not a keep for everything, there is undoubtedly spam and broken QR codes in here but this bulk deletion request is a mess. At least triage the obvious spam and nonfunctional QR codes first. Gnomingstuff (talk) 08:09, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep ... “unused” is not true. Strange deletion request. Several are in use in the german wikipedia, one of them is with all my picures.

think first, then act. --Jörgens.Mi 08:36, 12 October 2024 (UTC)

Keep Stagecoaches, hieroglyphs, Linear B and the space shuttle are "unused". QRpedia's functionality is replaced in the same was as Concorde is replaced by the latest Boeing. The new Wikipedia facility is not backwards compatible because .... it has less functionality. If we ever wabt to discuss this then we wont be oble to show an example code. The code that is on Nelson Mandela's house, Mahatma Gandhia and Bishop Tutus house with links to unusual African langiages is history! Wikimedia UK own QRpedia and they will keep it running forever. (COI I coinvented QRpedia which is the basis for quite a few Wikipedia articles and a wikitown or two) Victuallers (talk) 09:08, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It seems MediaWiki:Gadget-GlobalUsageUI.js might have a bug because for example File:Codc.png is used but the gadget shows 0. RoyZuo (talk) 09:27, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Withdrawn - it looks like I've overlooked some usage of some of these images; mea culpa. I'll retry with a smaller, more tightly targeted group of images. Omphalographer (talk) 22:56, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
